1999
Protect Association Founded
As a dining club for UK insurance underwriters to discuss creditor insurance issues and present views to market bodies.
2003
Chairman Appointed
Steve Devine becomes Chairman of Protect in a part-time role.
2010
Expanding Constitution
A new constitution expanded membership to include broader insurance sectors, transforming Protect into a professional networking community.
2013
Chairman Position Updated
Steve Devine becomes full-time Chairman, enhancing Protect’s reputation as a hub for networking, industry insights, and regulatory expertise.
2024
25 Years Old
Protect celebrates 25 years by reflecting on its legacy, addressing modern challenges like Consumer Duty, and launching a refreshed brand and events for 2025.
2025
Looking to the next 25 years...
Steve Devine accepts position of Chairman for a further three years, Bringing Lexden Group in, along with a widening scope to focus on the whole of the UK insurance market and the protection of firms, employees, and customers.
